An Update

Couple of interesting bullets since last post (don't have time to add necessary glue sentences):
  • After "busting" the record, my left leg was in agony for a week. So, it would have been much better to ramp up slowly.
  • My schedule has been erratic, however last week I was able to get 4 days of running in.
  • Another milestone is that I actually went running while on my trip to Mountain View. This is important from a discipline perspective since it's really easy to slack off while away from home.
  • My new standard for running is 40 minutes, 6 laps. I calculated that my cadence throughout was approximately 4 feet/sec or 2.7 mph. This means I ran approximately 9,840 feet or 3 km.
  • My right ankle has been acting up lately, so I need to keep focusing on pre-run and post-run stretches.
  • My weight is down 3 kg (6.6 lbs) since over a month ago. However, I don't think my waist is down, I need to get one of those flexible tape measures otherwise I have to use my belt and a ruler .. ;)
