Over the last few weeks, I've been out about 5 days total with about the same results. Today I tried something a bit different--I ate breakfast first before I went out. This seems to be in line with others as being a better choice. My breakfast was frosted mini-wheats with low-fat milk, but I think I ate a bit too much, so I'll cut back tomorrow.
Anyhow, I felt that the breakfast actually helped quite a bit, although, I may have to wait 30 to 60 minutes before going out to let the carbs settle. This means I need to wake up much earlier than I am now .. 6:30am is my usual time. Perhaps I could attempt to get up at 5:30am, eat, study some interesting stuff to get the brain going and then get out of the door by 6:30am. It'll be rough though--I'll need to be in bed by 10pm and fight against my urges to read the Internet until 12am ...
